Often tourists to Cape Town do not get the chance to see all the amazing places to party and have fun, because their schedules are packed to the brim. Taking time to explore a few places the locals refer to as “lekker kuier plekke” (in Afrikaans), we have a few suggestions…
And if you’re a local… maybe it is time to visit your own backyard if you haven’t done so yet… You’re missing out on all the fun.
This beautiful beachfront restaurant is situated in a fantastic setting with views of the Twelve Apostles and the Atlantic Ocean from terraced seating areas. The perfect place to watch the sunset over the Atlantic while sipping on your cocktail. This is a fantastic venue to host a year-end or birthday party or just to enjoy a lazy day at the beach with good food and good friends. (Above photos are from their website.)

Spending a day in Camps Bay is something I would definitely recommend when visiting the beautiful Cape Town. Here you’ll have the luxury of Victoria Road and all its fantastic beachfront restaurants. Stepping from the beach to the restaurant to enjoy a magical Cape Town sunset with some of the best cocktails and international food.

And then there is the Blue Peter: After all these years still Cape Town’s best and most famous spot to watch the sunset.
A visit to Cape Town is not complete without a sunset at Blouberg Beach, and the Blue Peter is the gathering point for everyone in the know.
Awesome views over Robben Island and Table Mountain, festive summer vibes, and awesome sunset photo opportunities are what sets this venue as one of the best ever.
The Lighthouse Bar offers a full selection of both local and international drinks and people relax and gather on the grass in front of Blue Peter to enjoy the Lower Deck Bistro’s casual setting for a family (or romantic) time. If you want to spend time with your friends at the beach enjoying the Cape Town summer weather and just ordering pizzas and having fun, this is the place to be.
“Whether it’s the sports game on TV, the lure of company with friends, a romantic dalliance, or some quiet time alone, this is a charming spot to while away long hours – no doubt mesmerized by the simply breathtaking view.” – The Blue Peter
