According to Wikipedia, Dulce de leche is Spanish for “sweet [made] of milk”.
This is basically a “caramel sauce” which is made with milk, and it is delicious. Not so sweet as the one made with condensed milk, but still perfectly flavored. I really do prefer this recipe.
The most basic ingredients are used to make this at home:
Sugar & Milk.
You can really try this recipe at home. It is easier than making fudge, and it is a handy item to have in your cupboard over a weekend.
