There are great journeys and fascinating places to see and you want to go into the experience with the excitement it deserves. In other words, not being stressed out from all the bookings and travel arrangements.
It is for that reason that I share my travel tips and tricks in “Travel Made Easy” so you too can benefit from my experience and that of our Travel and Home team.
Once in Europe you can save money with unbeatable cheap bus tickets. Compared to flights, you will save time with their detailed bus schedules and far less check-in time than at the airports. Also, you’ll be doing your bit for the environment because bus travel is the most environmentally friendly means of transport. You get to see far more as you drive between countries, and you make fabulous friends along the way!
I find Flix-Bus super-convenient, and highly recommend you give them a try.
Travel Insurance is necessary. If you book your flights with your credit card you will have travel insurance, but it may be limited. Especially if you go snow skiing or take part in extreme sports. Contact the insurance service provider linked to your bank card and ask for a more comprehensive cover, which is usually at a small additional fee.
Some medical insurance companies include a form of travel insurance in their package. So, check on your medical insurance’s Schedule of Benefits. For example, Profmed provides travel insurance up to three months from date of departure, without additional charges.
Once you know where you want to go, you need transport and accommodation. This is my take on finding great deals and finalizing my bookings.
The classic search for hotels makes for easy travel bookings. Enter your destination and dates. After that, you will get a list of no less than 10 hotels to select from with beautiful pictures to show what you can expect. Of course, there are many more hotels as you start exploring on their website.
I prefer to book hotels with an 8-plus rating. Amazingly, there are some great deals on these highly-rated hotels and quite regularly!
Earlier, I mentioned I like to double-check that I indeed got the best deal. Similarly, I use Jetradar as my 2nd check. After that, I have complete peace of mind that I got the best deal.
And this is why…
Airport transfers are particularly important, and I always make sure my holiday starts off smooth sailing. i’way has an online booking system and has been around since 2009. I find them to be reliable, and reliability is crucial at this stage of your travels.
One of the highlights of my North American holidays is usually a show of some sort.
There is something special about seeing a show in a different country. It is all about the art of creating memories!
And for that reason, I love using TicketNetwork because they have a wide range of sports, theater, and concert events around the world with some great names.
Only available in North America
CityPASS is a simple way to get discounts of up to 50% on the most famous and popular attractions in some of North America’s most popular destinations. For instance, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, and Tampa Bay.
With up to 50% less than the combined regular price of admissions, there is no reason to not see all the attractions you had hoped for!
Travel is fun, right!? There is nothing more frustrating than being in a place and you don’t know where to start your sightseeing journey. Sometimes the weather forces you to change your itinerary and you’re stuck. That’s why we affiliated with Get Your Guide, because with them you can book a tour or a travel guide or sightseeing tickets that are local wherever you are at that moment of your journey. There are loads of choices and competitive packages to pick from.
Some of our TravelBuddies will remember this song from the super band, U2. When I feel I still haven’t found what I am looking for, I go to Aviator.
Their range is smaller, but sometimes they have something I can’t get from Get Your Guide. So, between the two companies, I am guaranteed to plan exciting excursions!
I just love that feeling of being in charge of my travel plans. Above all, I love seeing everyone’s faces when I disclose all the places where we’re going to, and all the things we’ll be seeing and doing! Love it, love it, love it!
