Hildesheim is one of the easiest cities to explore on your own. They have what they call “The Rose Route“. No it is not a rose garden. It is actually a very unique way to follow the rose cobblestones set in the pavements. These roses show you the way to all the important and interesting sights:
The route will take you about four hours, but you can split it up in smaller sections, in order to explore on your own time.

Small cafés and cozy restaurants along the way provide refreshment along the way, where the rose route leads past.
