Tirol, Zillertal, Mayrhofen – Home to some of the best party music ever! Music that will make you want to dance. If ever you feel down, just play music and you’ll soon find yourself dancing to the beat. Bring Austria Home with These Big Hits and a bit of the fabulous old, but not forgotten, music of Tirol and Zillertal.
The people of Austria know how to party and their music will make you want to dance all day and night. Somehow Austria is just one with music. So whenever you visit the country, try and add a music festival or live music entertainment of any kind to your itinerary.
The video and music of Geri der Klostertaler – La via Alpina, give you a taste of what to expect when visiting this beautiful country. Magical in Winter and breathtakingly beautiful in Summer.
The Zellberg Stüberl – One of the most beautiful places in the world, with awesome views and certainly one of the most popular destinations right on the Zillertaler Höhenstraße, belongs to two of my favorite groups:
“Gerhard, boss of the Zellberg Buam , and his son Georg (Die Fetzig’n aus dem Zillertal) run the Zellberg Stüberl together. An alpine inn on the Zillertaler Höhenstraße at 1,840 m above sea level.”
You can often experience house music at lunchtime (approx. From 12:00 to 14:00) with Gerhard and his children in a beautiful setting in the middle of the Zillertal Alps! There is also the most beautiful little chapel with spectacular views on the premises.
There are some really great music festivals in Austria. Attending one during your vacation, will definitely be something you’ll never forget. Here are a few of them: (Links to their websites or FB pages are included in the names below.)
Make sure you’ve booked your tickets in time for a fabulous experience. (Click on the links below to get this years’ dates and information.)

The group Die Mayrhofner was founded in the beautiful Zillertal in 1997 and originally was a trio. Today the singer and violinist Erwin Aschenwald’s team of musicians includes his sons. Erwin Aschenwald and Die Mayrhofner Group are legends in Zillertal and sure make one want to get up and sing along. And even though you might not know how to yodel, you might find yourself yodeling along to the song ‘Der Sonntagsjodler‘.
Johann Ernst “Hansi” Hinterseer is an Austrian singer, actor, entertainer and former alpine skier and to some of the ladies a real heart-throb. His music keeps a wide variety of audience happy, from those loving the romantic music tunes to rave music and Après Ski party remixes.
