The climate

Here you will find a tropical climate with sometimes very high humidity.  However Okinawa has some of the most beautiful beaches and coral reefs in the world and the water is warm.  In June you can expect sea temperatures of 27 °C.

What is the best time to visit Okinawa

The best time to visit is in spring or autumn (March to early May and again from September to December). The wet season is from early May to early June.  However they may have get typhoons in July and August, and occasionally in October.

Shuri Castle overlook Okinawa from the hilltop and is one of the busiest attractions in Okinawa, so we suggest an early morning visit.  (Where:  1 Chome-2 Shurikinjocho, Naha, Okinawa 903-0815, Japan)

The Cherry Blossom Festival is held in February each year, at Manko Lake Park spanning Naha City and Tomigusuku City.

Take a day-trip to the beautiful Aharen Beach 

Miyakojima is considered one of the best islands for diving in Japan and with that Maebama Beach is famous for its beautiful sunsets.  Well worth a stop.
