Travel to Warsaw Poland

Take a trip to Warsaw and while you’re there explore the beauty of Poland.

The Capital city of Warsaw in Poland is a wonderful mix of the old and the new.

It is a great place for people loving architecture to travel to and just wander around.  There are many photo opportunities considering all the fantastic architecture all around you.

This city, being the largest in Poland, is situated on the Vistula River.  So in my opinion, I would suggest taking a boat tour along the river to see Warsaw from a different angle.  During summertime, you can visit the trendy bars and clubs, charming bistros, and outdoor events at the riverside.

When to visit and for how long

I think a 4 to 5-day visit would be enough to take in all the city has to offer.  But why not take the time to explore a bit more of wonderful Poland.  Book a ready-made tour package, sit back, relax and enjoy traveling without any worries.  Below are 3 of the best, which we would recommend.

If like me, you love mild weather when traveling, the best time to visit Poland would be during spring (March-May) and fall (September-November).

Must see places in Warsaw

The top things to do in Warsaw are:
Wilanow Palace - Travel and Home Warsaw Poland

Our favorite stops:

Wilanów Palace – Museum of King Jan III’s Palace at Wilanów

In my opinion, the majestic Palace, nicknamed The “Polish Versailles”, with its spectacular gardens is definitely worth a visit.  The Museum of King John III’s Palace at Wilanów is considered to be one of the oldest in the country.

Warsaw’s Old Town

I think a visit to Poland is not complete without a stop at the Warsaw Old Town.  This beautiful part of town is a UNESCO World Heritage site.  The town square has a statue of the Warsaw Mermaid, which is the emblem and guardian of the city.  This was and still is a favorite place for markets and festivities as well as stopping for something to drink at a beautiful café.

Royal Łazienki Museum

Visit the summer residence of the last king of Poland (which is now a museum) – Stanisław August Poniatowski. The beautiful flower gardens and the park is a popular gathering place. Here you will also find an orangery, an amphitheater, an eighteenth-century court theatre, the Museum of Hunting and Horse-riding, and the Myślewicki Palace. The park is also famous for its Chopin concerts.  From mid-May to the end of September you can enjoy a lazy musical afternoon on the grass every Sunday while enjoying the music.  Furthermore, this stop offers spectacular gardens, amongst which is the:

  • Royal Garden
  • A Chinese Garden
  • The Nineteenth-Century Romantic Garden
  • And the Twentieth-Century Modernist Garden
